ANNOUNCING...RIVERCANE: The City of Atmore has purchased 740 acres of property at I-65 for development of a commercial/business park.
 

Congratulations...

Atmore  was presented with the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA) Community Economic Development Award. Mayor Shell accepted the award on behalf of the city. It was presented by Robert Ingram, president of the Baldwin County Economic Development Authority, and Ron Scott, executive director for EDAA.

Atmore won first place statewide for a community this size. Later this year, Atmore will compete with about 900 other communities in 17 states for an economic development award.

This award was received based largely on the city’s Rivercane development at I65 and Highway 21.

ANNOUNCING...Wind Creek Casino: The Poarch Band of Creek Indians have constructed a 16 story luxury hotel and casino. The casino provides 1,600 electronic bingo games. The hotel offers 236 rooms. Also, state of the art entertainment areas where live entertainment are provided both inside and outside the hotel.
